I believe counselling is a space where you can slow down, feel genuinely heard, and better understand yourself and the experiences that have shaped you. Together, we can explore how early experiences, relationships, and the world around you have influenced the way you see yourself and navigate life today.
My approach to counselling is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I value the therapeutic relationship and work to create a space where you feel safe, respected, supported, and able to explore what matters most to you. I also bring warmth, curiosity, and directness to our work, offering gentle challenges when they may help you move toward greater self-understanding and meaningful change.
As a queer, Trinidadian woman of colour, I understand the importance of having your identity, culture, and lived experiences recognized and respected in therapy. My practice is informed by an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and social justice-informed perspective. I recognize that our mental health and well-being are shaped not only by our individual experiences, but also by relationships, culture, and broader social systems and structures of power.
At Chroma Counselling, I offer a warm and inclusive space for individual counselling in Vancouver, where you can feel seen, understood, and supported. Whether you are navigating questions of identity, relationships, life experiences, or simply feeling stuck, I welcome the opportunity to work alongside you.

Depending on your concerns, goals, and needs, I utilize a variety of clinical approaches and techniques to assist you. Including but not limited to:

The focus of person-centred therapy is always on you and not on any diagnosis or categorization. As a Clinical Counsellor, I provide a climate conducive to personal growth and change. Through empathy and trust, our relationship will be productive, genuine, and non-judgemental. Together, we explore your thoughts and feelings, positive or negative, without the risk of rejection or judgement.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the way you think (cognitive) and act (behavioural). CBT helps you to identify the relationship between your thoughts and your feelings. By making small changes to the way you think, you can ultimately change the way you feel.

Narrative therapy is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals externalize their problems, viewing them as separate from their identity, and then rewrite their life stories to focus on their values, skills, and preferred future. It emphasizes the power of storytelling and collaborative meaning-making between the therapist and client.

Adlerian therapy is a goal-oriented, positive, and psychodynamic counseling approach. It focuses on overcoming feelings of inferiority, fostering social connection, and understanding how a person's unique lifestyle choices shape their behavior and goals.

A key component to solution focused therapy is helping you identify your strengths, resources and problem-solving skills. Together we can discover solutions that build on what you are already good at. We will utilize your existing strengths and skills as a basis for problem-solving and growth.
